Caversham Park
A masterplan and land allocation scheme prepared for Caversham Park in Reading, a 40-hectare site consisting of a Grade II listed manor house set within a registered park and garden. The scheme was used to promote a planning viable opportunity to potential buyers - aiding the client to market the property. The scheme sought to provide new development within carefully selected areas of the historic estate landscape.
In addition to this, we presented a sensitive proposal for the conversion of the principal listed building into residential apartments. The proposed design for the masterplan completed the estate’s varied suburban and domestic context, responding respectively to the surrounding area and minimising the impact on any views from the principal building.
