Sycamore House, Lincolnshire

Located in rural Lincolnshire, Sycamore House sees the redevelopment of an agricultural store under class Q to support a rural leisure business. The picturesque and serene site presents multiple aspects and vistas, the south orientation, shaded by an established beech, offers long views over the surrounding fields, while the north aspect offers a more human scale enclosure, framed by an established landscape.  The property, housed within the existing mass and structure reinstates a lost yard, creating a public/private relationship between the historic farmhouse and the functioning outdoor retreat. The design must respond to a number of constraints as the site is located within flood zone 3 as well as being in the open countryside, however, will be rewarded with stunning panoramic views over the Lincolnshire countryside.
