PROFILE

We are committed to pushing the building industry to a more sustainable and responsible future. The studio takes an in-depth, holistic approach to each project - establishing harmonious links between the history and nature of a place together with modern day lifestyles and technology.

TEAM

We are a small collective of forward-thinking and highly skilled Architects and Designers that work collaboratively to ensure our clients benefit from the most appropriate expertise during each stage of their project.

Founded by award-winning sustainable designer Roger Ashman, Ashman Architects is an RIBA Chartered Practice based in Cambridgeshire and London. A collective of highly skilled Architects and Designers, our team are devoted to assisting private clients and estate owners unlock the full potential of their land and assets.
Whether it's a beautiful home for a growing family, supporting a new rural business or creating spaces to foster innovation and productivity, we translate our clients’ aspirations into engaging buildings that enliven the senses and invoke a deep sense of place, meaning and purpose.
With each project, we adopt an exploratory approach.  Rather than an in-house design style, we explore and evolve existing narratives of people and place to deliver architecture that honours the past, serves the present and betters the future.

At the root of our design philosophy is Biophilic Design. We seek to embrace and harmonise every project with an experience of the surrounding environment. Through a variety of design criteria, we aim to achieve this through access to natural light, employing sustainable, locally sourced materials, or establishing beautiful vistas of nature to engage with the features of the environment.

Our projects each begin with a thorough consultation to understand and define our client's exacting brief and requirements. This forms the foundations that guide our design approach and ensure we work within your practical and financial requirements.

Whether it's your first project or one of many, we will guide you through all stages of a project - from feasibility and concept design to planning applications, tender and construction. Our process is tailored to give our clients peace of mind and a comprehensive, one-stop service.

Roger is an award-winning Designer and Principal of Ashman Architects. He is involved with each project ensuring that our team work to our client’s requirements and deliver a quality-driven project.
